> LAW STUDENT INTERNSHIP

Project assignments and responsibilities may depend on the business and legal priorities that arise during the operations. Broader application might include, but may not be limited to litigation support, such as:

  • Researching legal questions and writing memorandums and legal briefs.
  • Writing and orally presenting findings.
  • Communicating with the assigning lawyer about findings and questions.
  • Preparation for trial, including but not limited to witness interviews.
  • Document organization and other tasks as assigned under staff supervision.
  • Attending meetings and discussions to understand background of legal questions.
> OFFICE ASSISTANT

Looking for a motivated Office Assistant responsible for providing comprehensive administrative/clerical support to the firm’s attorneys, and support staff. Candidate must have a pleasant disposition and be able to work in an office environment with others. Candidate must exhibit high degree of initiative in managing multiple priorities simultaneously in a deadline-driven, detail-oriented work environment. Candidate must be able to observe confidentiality of clients and firm matters.

  • Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to filing, mailing, drafting, calendaring, reception, etc.
  • Candidate should be able to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems, and prioritize work
  • Interested applicants should have prior experience as a Legal Assistant or Office Manager.
  • Ability to use standard office equipment (computer, copier, scanner, typewriter, facsimile, telephone, etc.)
  • Bi-Lingual candidates preferred.
> ACCOUNTING CLERK

Performs accounting and clerical functions to support the accounting team such as preparing invoices/statement, updating accounts/records, contacting clients regarding delinquent. Produce and mail client account statements. Be able to handle competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Manage account balances to discover outstanding debts or other inconsistencies. Check the data input in the accounting system to ensure accuracy of final invoices. Issue invoices and bills.

  • Update accounting records with new payments, balances, customer information etc.
  • Answer questions and handle complaints from customers regarding invoices
  • Report on activity to senior management
  • Sort and process accounting department mail
  • Scan, file and address correspondence as necessary
  • Credit Card charges: research, track receipts, code expenses, reconciliation
  • Compile back-up documents to be attached to the clients’ monthly bills; mail client bill as directed and other billing tasks that may be assigned
  • Other tasks and duties that may be assigned
    Candidate should be able to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems, and prioritize work. Interested applicants should have prior corporate accounting experience.
